Zaneta Gileno, LCSW, CT, is a seasoned psychotherapist, professor, and certified thanatologist known for her impactful work in grief counseling, trauma recovery, and community organizing, particularly among military families and youth in foster care. With a rich professional background that includes serving as Director at the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, Zaneta has led efforts to establish nationwide grief support networks, develop evidence-based curriculums, and foster professional development for mental health professionals.

Currently, Zaneta is the Senior Mental Health Advisor and Board Member at Repatriate Our Patriots and operates a private psychotherapy practice, specializing in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and peer-support models. As a lecturer and student advisor at Columbia University, she actively mentors and educates the next generation of social workers.
